How Paws & Herds collects, uses and protects your personal data under the Kenya Data Protection Act, 2019.

Last updated

  1. 1Who we are

Paws & Herds Veterinary Services, run by Dr. Colleta Chepkosgei, is the data controller for information collected through this website. Our website developer, Nincol, processes data on our behalf under a written agreement.

  2. 2What we collect

Only what we need to call you back and plan a visit:

    • Your name, phone number and, if you choose, your email address
    • Whether your number is on WhatsApp and how you’d like to be contacted
    • The animals concerned, the service needed and a description of the concern
    • Your county, town or estate, an optional landmark and the visit setting
  3. 3What we don’t collect

We do not collect exact addresses, ID numbers, payment details or photos through this website.

  4. 4Why we use it

To respond to your request, arrange and carry out visits, keep appropriate records and meet our legal and professional obligations. We rely on your consent, given when you submit a form, and on our legitimate interest in providing veterinary care.

  5. 5Who receives it

Your request is sent to the practice by email and, where set up, by WhatsApp alert. We use trusted providers for website hosting, email delivery and messaging. We never sell your data.

  6. 6How long we keep it

Enquiries are deleted or archived after 12 months unless you become a client. Client records are kept as long as needed for veterinary care and legal requirements.

  7. 7Your rights

    You can contact hello@pawsandherds.co.ke to:

    • Ask what information we hold about you
    • Ask us to correct or delete it
    • Object to or restrict how we use it
    • Withdraw consent for reminders at any time
  8. 8Cookies, analytics and transfers

This website does not use cookies or tracking analytics, so there is no cookie banner. Videos only load from YouTube, in its privacy-enhanced mode, when you choose to play one. Our hosting and email providers may process data outside Kenya; we choose providers with appropriate safeguards. You can complain to the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner (ODPC) at any time.
